Social Media Fire – Preventing Them Is Easier

It is much easier to prevent a social media fire then to put one out.

It is far less expensive as well. Do things correctly in order to avoid creating a social media fire from sparking a blaze in your social media marketing that will leave your foundation damaged!

Social Media Ninjas

Nothing really to say on this one, except there’s no such thing as ninja cats and there is no such thing as a social media ninja, expert or guru.

It makes me smile though. :-)

Water Is The Essence Of Life, But Coffee

We all need water. Especially for making coffee.

Coffee is to social media like water is to coffee. :-)

Social Media Pulse

Just because you have a pulse and a social media account on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Google Plus, doesn’t mean you are doing social media marketing.

Fogging a mirror means your alive, not that your social media marketing is effective. It takes more than a pulse to create one with your community.

Social Media Coffee Filter

I am a coffee filter! :-)

My social media marketing is powered by coffee. How fitting that I am now calling myself a coffee filter…  Can you relate?

What Does Chicken And Football Have In Common? Social Media

Chicken and football? Seriously?  Well sure…

Though there is purpose and no random circling and certainly no blood, social media marketing is a bit like a chicken running down the field with its head cut off. :-)

You social media professionals know exactly what I’m talking about

A Spoonful Coffee Makes The Social Media Go Down

A spoonful of coffee helps the social media go down. Not as if it ‘s bad like medicine, but more like rocket fuel.

That’s why we require really big spoons!

Hootsuite Social Media Rivalry?

I was thinking about Owly from Hootsuite the other day…

Owls competing in social media marketing? One is a bit trashy, but well liked (Hooters). The other, Hootsuite, I think has the upper hand here. A whole new meaning to Hootlet?

I believe Hooters may have the upper hand on content strategy however.  hahaha

Pssst… I Need Some Of Your Klout

Pretty amazing how some people SEEM influential on Klout. Appearances can be deceiving.

I literally could pump my Klout score to much higher levels artificially. But what does that give me? Especially when my actual real results decline from doing so. Focus your social media marketing on real results and stop holding fake experts with high scores in such high esteem and certainly don’t ask them for +K!

Social Media Iceberg

Social Media Marketing is like an Iceberg, there is so much more involved than what you initially see.

Social Media, Marketing, Iceberg

Most people think it is just a bunch of playing around and chatting. What they don’t see and don’t understand is what it really takes to have an effective social media program, the planning, strategy, content management, community growth. It is really a lot of work when done right, but the results speak for themselves.
