Seriously?
I am a bit tired of the folks with 1,000 followers telling me what to do. It takes them 2 days to respond, yet explaining how I suck at social media marketing. One the other day literally said – “Ya, I have a Klout score of 53 and get RT’d 10 times every day” as they told me I was wrong about something. You’re no expert/guru! Get back to flipping burgers my friend.

Some people are what my aunt calls “great in their own minds”…sounds like you are dealing with one of those guys…anyone who calls themselves a guru is a db. His nickname should be “53″ :)

those influence measurements apps (not a fan of) made a few want-to-be’s into guru’s over night and I bet 90% could not even explain a push/pull strategy!

let alone develop or understand a social media strategy Randy

On the flip side (burger pun intended), plenty of folks who CAN explain marketing strategies in extreme depth still do not “get” social. It’s tough to find people who can truly strike a balance between marketing strategy, sincere engagement, community analysis, and community management.

No question Christina. So true. I say that equates to opportunity!!! :-)

Dude, I’m sorry to read that you took our conversation public. I just don’t see how YOU can call yourself an “expert” without myriad Foursquare updates peppering your Twitter feed and Facebook all day. I forgot to mention that in addition to my Klout score of 53, I am the Mayor (and Duke) of the fast-food establishment that employs me. And so you know I’m tracked for Assistant Manager, so take that Robert! :)
