Answer: Yes, you have to be social in social media. Well to be effective, you do… Social media is about relationships. Relationships are not built through direct marketing, rather through social conversations.

Social media has already been impacted heavily by mobile devices. The next thing I am looking for is the technology that enables social media and disconnects us from the tiny smart phone screen and allows voice to BE the control device. Now THAT is power.

If you do not understand today’s social graphic, you are probably doing just fine. If this image is making you uncomfortable because you are using True Twit to “validate” users, you need to read THIS!
Relationships are built on trust. Trust requires a bit of action on your part. Being lazy and requiring new connections to prove something to you, is not trust. It’s saying out of the shoot, “I don’t trust you and I am too lazy to read your bio, look at your profile and your timeline.”

Seriously? There are not lines in social media. Marketing within the social graph is fluid and unique. There are no lines. Except spam of course!
I love this image! Ignore people who tell you what you can and can’t do in social media marketing. You develop the content and strategy.
Are their best practices? Yes! Are there better ways to get results? Absolutely! However, there are no lines. So get off road and forge new ground!

You’ve experienced the negative social media trolls out there. You know the types… They complain and attack, often personally, rather than offering well thought out reasoning and logical contrary views to something.
Just had to create a funny graphic around this. I would never suggest hurting someone by beating them with something as in today’s image. I would always suggest a gun instead! :-)
